Ok, this is one of those times when looks can be deceiving. We allow our preconceived notions of the face that people put on is reality when we really don't know what's happening behind the scenes. We try to hide behind the mask or live up to expectations even though our life at home is awful. Or we hide behind our masks because we don't want everyone to know we feel like we are less. Eric and Julia have been doing just this for years. Little did they realize they have more in common deep down, and both deserve empathy. Eric is a hero, but so is Julia, and this is their story of how they let their heroes out. Ilsa Madden-Mills fills her books with heroes and heroines who break our hearts and step up in ways that leave us smiling happily because they so deserve their HEA. I hope this is not the last of our hockey players from Hawthorne, there is a house full of stories waiting to be told, and I can think of two right off the top of my head. You, however, need to read this book that gets you in all the feels but in such a good way. I give this book five hockey sticks
