A truly superb offering, lyrical, action-packed and masterful, with an in-depth explanation of the history of orcs, elves, goblins and dwarves that would likely have Tolkien salivating with glee.

The magic is complex, the action is intense, and there is an incredibly creepy recounting of an abandoned, closed-off section of a city in the middle of the story. I NEEDED to keep reading to see what was going to happen next, and I resented that normal things like cooking, shopping and going to work got in my way.
