Rock Redemption by Nalini Singh
1.0
Trigger Warning:
Rock Redemption more like No Redemption from me. Noah took his time to be a decent human being. If he actually tried, I wouldn't mind it that much. But with a trauma this big I would have expected him to go to therapy early on. I understand that his parents also messed up but this book actually promotes that pills are bad and if you are a famous person going to therapy, media will somehow know.
First off, in Noah's case sleeping pills make him unable to wake up and since he has nightmares it is bad for him. But. There are so many different sleeping pills. If he actually bothered to consult to a doctor he could have found one that worked for him. Or maybe some other thing that would actually help him.
Secondly, I'm pretty sure a lot of famous people go to therapy and we never hear about their messed up lives. I wouldn't give this book 1 star if he actually sought professional help rather than Kit trying to help him from the knowledge she learned online. She actually reads forums online about abuse survivors.
So... the romance was toxic, the topic wasn't handled well and even the whole stalker plotline was done badly. Unfortunately, this is the worst Nalini Singh book I have ever read.
