This was my first listen with Kyla Garcia, and her voice really disappeared into the story.  I really love that quality in a narrator because I'm never pulled away from the plot.  The story itself was fast-paced and violent.  The characters were complex, as were their relationships with each other.   This was a hold onto your earphones and let the narrator take you on the journey kind of story.  I ate a whole bucket of popcorn and allowed myself to be sucked into the book.   It's worth the calories and the time.
