Hmmm... I really enjoyed Veritas and Ian in the first book and did enjoy the second, just not as much. The pacing felt off? Slow? And now I realize it's because there is a THIRD BOOK. WHYYYYYYYYY?
Why can't we just have nice things? A tightly packed story that focuses on defeating the Big Bad that concludes with a pretty finish and the couple living HEA is what I thought I was getting.
But no. We have a 3rd book with a surprise antagonist. I hate feeling like I'm stuck in a loop so I will probably have to put a pin in reading the 3rd until I clear out the pipes from books 1 & 2.
