No one Rides for Free by Judith Sonnet

This was atrocious, horrid and just…. Not even imaginable as an intrusive thought.

I’m a simple person I don’t expect every extreme horror novel to have.. purpose or character arc or depth. Like let’s be fr, some are just written for shock value and that’s okay. And this was definitely that.

It’s definitely just a surface level
, shock value, gross disgusting story with no nuance and every CW applicable. It was quick and horrifying if you’re after something shocking.

This makes you squirm and feel shitty and the author does a good job in making you really feel it. That’s the point of extreme horror if you’re after it. I don’t think the author promised for a Pulitzer level character building and plot. So I don’t think it’s fair to shit on her for it. This was good for shock content. And quick so that you don’t have to keep stomaching it.

It’s definitely not for everyone unless you have the experience of extreme horror under your belt and definitely NOT starter book. Like you need to be desensitized and do not go into it expecting a well fleshed out plot and characters. It’s not this, and honestly, that’s fine.
