A heartwarming, cozy book about witches and family. I can't help seeing the witchiness as a metaphor for a whole host of real marginalized identities. Beautifully narrated audio as well. More of a(n urban) fantasy with a romance subplot than a romance/romantasy. One mild sex scene near the end that has people in an uproar but isnt remotely smutty or detailed.

The emotional vulnerable speeches and pep talks all felt like they were trying a little too hard to be deep and meaningful and just weren't realistic or convincing, but overall I enjoyed the cuteness of this story.

Lots of f-words, for those that are bothered. They sounded perfectly natural and realistic in the british/irish etc accents, as people really do talk that way and the casual use in a foreign accent doesnt sound so harsh to my American ears.
