Sphere, by Michael Crichton

4.0

This was a really fun read. I liked how psychological it was, less "hard" in terms of the science (comparing to Jurassic Park/Lost World which is all I've read from him) and really just about the power of the mind. I enjoy how cinematic Crichton's writing is. There was some interesting points made inadvertently about human technology. This book was published in 1987 and it talks about man's inability to predict what technology will look like in the future (despite the fact that we imagine it all the time, and sometimes correctly)...and it's funny because at the time this book was published there was no solid concept of Internet, no cloud, no bluetooth...technology is crazy!
