Christmas at Mistletoe Cottage by Lucy Daniels

2.0

It's a feel good novel and I enjoyed it well enough, though largely for the nostalgia. However, the writing and plot are quite pedestrian and cliche. I guessed who the villain was as soon as they appeared, and the B conflict was one of those frustrating contrived misunderstandings which could have been easily solved if the characters just used their words. I was also annoyed at the continuity issues, considering the draw of the series is that it's a continuation of the Animal Ark books. For example at one point Mandy says that she's never seen reindeer in Welford, appearing to forget the events of Kitten in the Cold.
