This novella is dual POV, well written, and an interesting, new planet romance, series prequel. I enjoyed Eve’s determination to be self-determining, even when the situation appeared to be pushing her in a particular direction. I enjoyed Balroth’s patience and his willingness to take her lead, culturally directed though that was. I enjoyed their intimate interactions. I enjoyed the negotiation between them to resolve issues. I’m looking forward to more of the series.
