To Die for by Linda Howard

4.0

I've been delving into Linda Howard's books this year and this book was a very pleasant surprise.

I was expecting that overbearing alpha and a heroine who comes off as strong, but melts for the hero and lets him have his grand old way every stinking time. And while this story has the outlines of those tropes, the heroine is not a push over.

I loved how Blair kept multiple lists of Wyatt's transgressions and stood up to him so many times. Wyatt was a fun character as well and I did not see this variation of Howard's usual tropes working so well, but they did!

This was a fun (and a little over the top) romantic comedy that I would recommend to all of my romance readers.
