This book was completely my jam and what I needed right now. Right from the start, the writing is literally and figuratively Magical. The magic wasn’t always at the forefront, so one could almost mistake this as a regular contemporary novel but the pinches of magic thrown in was the icing on the cake.
I grew to love Natalie Tan’a neighbours as she visited and learned more about them herself. I found myself wanting to learn more about the neighbourhood and Natalie’s family history. I enjoyed every moment and was emotionally invested the whole way through.
