This was considerably darker than the first volume, which was already pretty dark. A large chunk of this volume focused on Punpun’s uncle, Yuuichi, and his relationship with a teenage girl he mentored as a pottery instructor. His flashbacks show how that girl’s mother was abusive, so that pretty sad. And although he had a girlfriend at the time, he was still attracted to that teenager. It turned out that the girl manipulated both him and his co-worker, so things got pretty messed up. Besides that, there was a lot of teenage/middle schooler drama with Punpun and Aiko. Aiko got her first boyfriend. Yaguchi is probably the most wholesome character so far and I actually like him a lot! Punpun can be dramatic and whiny, but I don’t really blame him.
Graphic: Adult/minor relationship, Child abuse, Infidelity, Physical abuse, Toxic relationship, Violence, and Fire/Fire injury
Moderate: Abortion
