Mile High by R.K. Lilley

4.0

"Mile High" is the second book in the "Up in the Air" series by R.K. Lilley and, just like with the first book, I'm giving this one four out of five possible stars.

The story's still interesting but there's something about lead character Bianca that's beginning to irritate me. I get about everyone having their own personal hang-ups but this girl seems to have more than her fair share. She's overly defensive about waaay too many things and she obviously can't seem to fully accept or deal with James' past since she seems to assume that almost every woman they come across has slept with the guy.

James has somewhat improved in this sequel, though he can be overbearing AND overly protective. Yes, I know he's a dominant some of the stuff he does OUTSIDE the bedroom can be quite stifling.

As always, Stephan saves the day. I really like this character. He may be scarred but he seems to have chosen to focus on creating a better future for himself while living in the present. Bianca could seriously learn a thing or two from him.

And with that...on to the third book!
