The Mary Shelley Club by Goldy Moldavsky

4.0

Rachel was one of the most relatable female leads I’ve read in awhile. Although I felt like her whole relationship with Freddie seemed lame from the get go, he was just, a little TOO perfect for her. I hope if there’s a follow up she and Bram get together, their dynamic was much more interesting.
That being said I thought the book wrapped things up in a way that was satisfying, but definitely left room for a sequel that wouldn’t feel unnecessary.
Love, love, loved all the horror movie references.
Also this author manages to use “teen slang” in a way that works, without being annoyingly overdone.
