Finn and Aiofe are after my heart. I love them both so much. I love that Aiofe is curvy and plus size. You never really see that in the mafia world. I also loved that Finn loved her that way. He appreciated her body and showed her that as well. He never made her feel less than beautiful and always treated her like a queen. Finn is the money man for the Five Points, but that doesn’t mean he has never done wetwork before. He had to earn his way up somehow right? As soon as he saw Aiofe, he was in deep. Once he had her, he knew he could never let her go. And we love that in a man. A man who appreciates what he has in front of him. One thing I love so much is that the men in this universe realize how amazing these women are. You will see this quote often: “Why go out for hamburgers when I have steak at home?” Now does this mean the men are perfect? No, but when they are dumb they realize it. And we love that too, it’s great to be self aware.
This book really sets the foundation for the series and introduces you to the O’Donnellys and the Five Points world. So many things stem from this book and I absolutely loved it. There is a bit more romance than action in this book, but I love it. The start of secrets within the O’Donnellys begins with this book and you will see more things play out throughout the series. Stick with it, it’s a wild ride but oh so worth it.
This book started my love for this series and this universe.
