The Jigsaw Man by Nadine Matheson

4.0

Overview: Seen this around a lot so was keen to give it a read. The blurb intrigued me and the hook "it takes a killer to catch a killer" was unique. If somewhat misleading. The MC was likeable to a certain extent, but her husband was honestly the most infuriating and unlikeable character! What an a**hole! Anyway...other than that I found this an enjoyable thriller however I did have a few issues with a couple of the characters (the other being one of the police).

Good points: Good back story and character development for Henley, although I did want a bit more about the previous jigsaw case. The murders were pretty brutal and graphic.

Not so good points: As mentioned before...the husband! I did find some of it a bit unbelievable for a crime thriller. The previous case about the real jigsaw killer could have been more developed. I felt there was a bit of a plot hole here.

Overall a great crime thriller and I'll certainly be checking out the next in the series. These can be read as standalones.
