I really wanted to like this book, but the pacing felt off to me. The moving back and forth in time was jarring and the switch between character perspectives didn’t always feel smooth. Those things took me out of the story at times which was frustrating because I thought the base for the characters was really good. They were complex and had interesting motives and back stories, I just needed better pacing.
