Chasing Butterflies by Terri E. Laine

4.0

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story was told in two parts. The first part covered high school, and the next part covered college.
Terri does a fantastic job of painting a vivid image of both their lives and how fate played its role in how everything played out. You can't help but feel sad for the life they both have had to endure.
Despite not playing a huge role in the book, I could not help but feel contempt towards Lenny's parents. I think this speaks volumes to how well the author can evoke feelings in the reader, even with minimal interaction from specific characters.
I love when an author can make me feel emotional when reading. This book did not fail on that score. I felt every emotion during reading this book.
