Hesam by Ami Wright

5.0

Hesam, the male feline humanoid lead, has serious self esteem issues stemming from a short tail, which society perceived as a defect and shameful. But he has worked hard to compete in the games and become part of the shahra’s harem, so that he’ll have a place.

Now the world has exploded and he is assigned the task of protecting Rosa, the female human lead, an extroverted performer with no fear and an willingness to keep reaching out.

This story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a gorgeous story with hot and steamy moments as well as deeply tender moments. The character development, especially for Hesam, was significant and encouraged deep relationship development. I enjoyed the intimate interactions and found the overarching plot line well developed and continued with groundwork for future stories written, though the romance arc is lovely and complete.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review.
