A Civil Campaign by Lois McMaster Bujold

3.0

I had to make several attempts at this one. There's a lot going on in the story, which is fne, but a lot of that lot isn't resovled or explained. So I'd get along a fair way athen have to hunt back to find some ereference that I might've missed, only to find it wasn't there in the first place.

This story about Barrayaran politics and Miles' love life is all very well, but where's the intrigue? I put it down as strictly an intermediate piece to explain some background to 'Diplomatic Immunity', wich is the next book in the series.

Too well-written, though, to give it two stars, so it gets three.
