Pippi Langstrumpf by Astrid Lindgren

3.0

Pippi Longstocking. In Germany, you don't have to explain anything about the story or about Pippi. We grew up with it. My primary school was even named after Astrid Lindgren (it's not anymore, which is a shame).
However, I always liked her other books more, the Kids from Bullerbü or Michel. This extraordinary girl always was a bit too much for me. Even as a child I preferred Lindgren's (and other Scandinavian author's) sad stories.

My daughter only still gets a glimpse of what's happening in those stories but she liked the crazy ways of Pippi, Herr Nilson and kleiner Onkel. And that's what's important :)
