Too Bright to Hear Too Loud to See by Juliann Garey

5.0

I thought this book was incredible. It really gives you an inside look at mental illness and what goes on in the mind of a person with manic-depressive disorder. Throughout the book I kept hoping for a happy ending - Greyson would check himself into a mental treatment facility, they would find the perfect combination of medication to stabilize him and make him "normal" again, and he would return to his family who would welcome him back with open arms. I knew it was not going to happen that way, but you can't blame a girl for hoping, right? Though it wasn't the picture-perfect ending I wished for, it was still better than expected. Reading this book made me feel grateful for just having ordinary problems that might seem difficult but are nothing compared to what some people go through every day. Read this!
