The Vegetarian, by Han Kang

dark sad fast-paced

2.5

I wish I liked this more, but I really didn't get it. Han Kang's writing is great as usual, and I have a vague idea of what the book is trying to get at, but it wasn't clear to me at all. Maybe this is something that was lost in translation?

I didn't dislike the book, it was certainly compelling. It just takes such a left turn after the first part and I didn't stop feeling disoriented during the remainder of the book. Not for me.
