I was gearing up to write a raving review about this book, until the end came and now I don't think I could ever recommend this series to anyone (same thing happened with Blood Red Road--loved the books, but the ending sucks so much I can't recommend it). I admire the author for trying something different in terms of a romance line, but honestly CHRISTIAN! I was so thoroughly disappointed by the ending I don't think I'll ever read the series again. I became unconvinced of the love between Cara and Tucker during the 2nd book--it became way to cliche and uninteresting--yet here we are the end of the series looking it right in the face. So not cool.
Plus:
Writing style--unique, realistic, very easy to read and visualize
Minus:
The freaking ending! It sucked!
Okay, can we talk about how easy the end was? No real obstacles. A villain appears who apparently we've been trying to catch this whole time? Cara just all of a sudden had unending strength to get through everything, seriously? The series honestly stopped running the race a mile before the end. What happened?!
Only giving 2 stars because the writing style really is good.
