Empress of a Thousand Skies by Rhoda Belleza
So I won this in a giveaway, and it arrived in the mail yesterday. I enjoyed it a lot. It had a few cusswords, but that was about it for content wise. The story was more about the character's journey and thoughts, than trying to be a full blown action novel. So the book was setting up a lot of the key things I hope and think that will be answered in the second novel.
One of the things that I thought was a bit interesting, is that on the back cover ["Rhee and Aly are thrown together.."] makes it sound like Rhee and Aly will meet up with each other, but the fact is, they didn't actually meet. (yes, there were 2 instances where they almost did, but they didn't talk or meet up) So the whole time I was expecting these two characters to meet each other, but they never did. (It did make up for it by giving you both of their POV's throughout the story, so that was cool.)
Also, I was super excited by how I found out something in the book, before it was actually confirmed -it's so fun doing that. You feel so awesome lol XP-
This was a fun read, and if you like futuristic/sci-fi type reads, then this would also be a plus
