Holy hell. This is a debut book?!? Mindblown. I wasn't expecting the way that this book went. It started out in the present amidst the current hell that the world is experiencing and then went back in time until the very end where it looped back around to the present. I liked that. It ended on a whopper of a cliffhanger. I hope it stays present in the next book.

Definitely has some triggers but this author is on my watch list now.
