A Murder Is Announced by Agatha Christie

3.5

My rating: ⭐⭐⭐.5

Quick Overview:
A murder is announced in the local newspaper with the time, place and date. Expecting this to be a funny invitation to a party, many people actually show up. The “party” is in full swing when suddenly the lights go out and someone is actually murdered. The succeeding investigation digs up old secrets that threatens to ruin everything.

Thoughts:
This is definitely my least favourite Christie till now. It was really boring and slow in the first act and took a lot of time to get in full sleuthing mode. When it did, it was kinda fun since everything tied back to the start so you gotta pay attention. A lot of my guesses were correct in this one, so yay! Overall, the concept was really interesting but could have been executed better.
