These characters are addicting! You should really read these in order to enjoy them as much as possible. In this one, Mori, one of Lucifer's sons, is approached by River in hopes that he can help find his missing brother. Mori is a skilled tracker but he doesn't realize River is disguising himself so Mori doesn't realize his brother is the one responsible for his brother Harlow's mate's death. Sooooo much unresolved animosity there, so River knows he needs the disguise to get the help. River is a water mage while his brother is fire, and mages have been getting kidnapped by ghasts.

Mori desperately wishes he could find his mate after losing a man named Eric years before, but River isn't anything he expects. I don't want to spoil anything else because you deserve to enjoy every second of it!

🔥: Steamy as helllllll! Pun intended! These two are kinky and enjoy fighting in and out of the bedroom. Scenes are medium-paced with all the graphic details.
😆: There's such good banter with this found family and between Mori and River. Magical levels of banter!
😭: Your eyes will likely water with this one thanks to some tense moments and heartache. Oof!

I'd write more, but I need to go read the next book as soon as possible!

CW: discussion of domestic abuse in a side character, violence and gore on the page, grief, homophobia with slur
