Let me preface this by saying, I LOVE Marissa Meyer's writing. She takes me and transports me to these incredible worlds, she writes great twists, and can really drag a character through the trenches... but I COULD NOT love this book!
My biggest issue was that the main character was just downright unlikeable, and the supporting cast wasn't fleshed out enough to make me keep reading in spite of it. My rule is 30%, I always make myself get to 30% and if I'm still not enjoying it, I bail. Too much too read, too little time.
I love to read YA but Prudence was the worst version of a teenage girl. Dramatic, self-righteous, anger issues, a self-absorbed perfectionist... she did not have a single redeeming quality to her. Sorry Marissa, I still love you (currently reading Heartless and once again in love!) but this didn't do it for me :(
