This was such a good read! Cody is a survivor; he’s living a hellish life, isolated and lonely, he’s a carer for his father who hates him and is abusive, his half-brother who is a terrible human being and his mother who is completely checked out. Lonely and depressed his only outlet is his favourite MMORPG Black Oasis and the monster living under his bed…

Nor is a sleep demon, but instead of fuelling Cody’s nightmares, he’s realised that Cody is living them during the day. Nor grows into Cody’s protector and more, as the attraction between them grows. If you’ve read any of Lily Mayne and Nik Knight’s monster romances already you’ll be familiar with their wonderful monster characters - with their unique way of seeing the world and their ✨unusual✨ anatomy!

Cody is at rock bottom in his life and watching Nor pick him up and protect him was just so heartwarming - especially as the whole thing starts with Cody holding hands with the monster under his bed 🥹 Ummmm so cute!! The dream realm where Nor lives was so interesting - gave me Zelda BotW blood moon night vibes! And of course Crumbs the fearsome Pomeranian was the best 💕
