The Fourth Friend by Joy Ellis

3.0

I love this series; this was my least favourite of the 4 (so far). Weak start -- I wondered if Ellis had someone else writing for her, it was that strange. Boring and totally different format (ghost story instead of a compelling detective story). I think there's just too much trying to happen in this novel, for it to hang together. Thankfully I chose the audiobook version and Richard Armitage always holds my attention and makes the key characters (Jackman, Evans, and a few other cops) my best friends for the duration. That's why it's 3 stars.
