Hmmm. Very different from the previous series I’ve read (MXTX’s works); much darker in a sense, and uncomfortable  at parts, but I’ve been told to keep reading through the initial discomfort to see the story through. 

The plot really picks up in the end, for sure! It leaves the reader wanting for that 2nd volume. 

Still unsure how I feel about this series, but will absolutely be picking up at least the second vol to read.
