Child of the Dream: A Memoir of 1963 by Sharon Robinson

This book is amazing - especially since I've also read Jackie Robinson's own autobiography. I think it would be perfect as supplementary reading for learning about the Civil Rights Era - especially to hear about this point of history from the point-of-view of a 13-year-old Black girl. It's short and perfect - even including pictures.
