Bourbon & Lies by Victoria Wilder

4.0

"A little more every day."

Victoria Wilder is a new-to-me author, and I am so grateful to receive an ARC of her newest book, Bourbon & Lies (book 1 in The Bourbon Boys Series). It follows the story of Laney and Grant.

I enjoyed Laney and Grant's story and may have stayed up way past my bedtime so I could finish it!

I loved the air of mystery surrounding Laney's late-night arrival in Fiasco, Kentucky. It left me wanting to know more about what happened in her past.

Laney is a real spitfire full of sass, as shown in her first meeting with Grant. I loved how she kept him on his toes and gave as good as she got. It was easy to see why all the Foxx men fell in love with her. I am in complete awe of her strength, especially after everything she has endured.

I loved Grant! He is everything you want in a book boyfriend. He is protective of those he loves and has the biggest heart. I felt for him and his family in this book, especially all the loss and heartbreak they have endured. The way that he was willing to give everything up to be with Laney was complete perfection.

I loved the Foxx brothers, Griz and Hadley they were all *chef's kiss*

I was surprised by what I learned the more I read and did not see that plot twist coming in Laney and Grant's story.

I can not wait to read Bourbon & Secrets the next book in The Bourbon Boys Series!

Thank you so much to Victoria Wilder and @theauthor.agency for this ARC
