Another lighthearted read by Sarah!! This one was hilarious!!! I really liked that this was still a sibling bestie trope, but it's SISTERs best friend!!!
Jessie is pregnant and really struggling with life right now. Her house is under construction, and the contractors find more that needs to be done at every turn. This means that Jessie needs a place to stay. Cooper, Lucy, & Levi are the starting point, but between being woken up by a child & being kept away with her best friend's sexy time, it's a disaster.
I thought this whole dynamic was hilarious!! Sarah used this newly wed subplot dynamic super well!!
Drew is a gyno, a grumpy, serious gyno who likes things to be a certain way. He practically dared Jessie to move in with him. Idk why he pushed her buttons like that, but it worked.
These two are so fun together. Their fake dating prank wars are the highlight of the book. The itty bitty ring proposal in front of Drew's colleagues was hilarious. Then, the lobster meal retaliation scene was epic.
I liked how Drew naturally wanted to take care of Jessie.
I liked Jessie's Grandpa.
I didn't like Jessie's reason for "hating" Drew. It was not a good enough reason, in my opinion. It was just so immature & judgemental.
