This is a great book and book series. However, I despise how every single goddess (even maiden goddesses like Artemis, Athena, and Hestia) and “in like” with someone. A big part of their characters in the mythology is that they are forever single, and I despise how these books are making it seem like girls have to fall in “like” with someone. Athena falls in love with someone who isn’t even connected to her story! I think it’s ridiculous and sends a message to girls that they have to like a guy and guys have to like them, especially when they have previous knowledge of Greek mythology like I did when I first read this series at 7.
