Beowulf: A New Translation by Maria Dahvana Headley

4.0

A great translation that makes it accessible without over-intellectualizing the journey, bringing Beowulf back to its origins: entertainment.
Some of the slang didn't quite hit, but overall this book was a fun experience and will be my go-to recommendation for anyone who wants to read Beowulf as a story and not as a historical text.
