The finale to the Farseer Trilogy is measured to the point of excruciating, but ends with an absolute bomb of intensity that perfectly caps this tragic trilogy.
Assassin’s Quest is lovely and deeply intelligent, both intellectually and emotionally. The characters are real people, with all the flaws we see in ourselves, and we love them even more because of those flaws. Some of those characters will live within me for years, I’m sure. Nighteyes, in particular, is a perfectly crafted hero.
If you’ve already read the first two books, you had better finish this trilogy. It’s a joy.
