I love when I find shorter paranormal romance or fantasy novels to read in between behemoths (I’m looking at you, When the Moon Hatched & House of Flame and Shadow). This was a fast, fun read! The world-building was not difficult to understand and there were a few twists I didn’t see coming. I really related to Calia’s character and appreciated the exploration of her body image & confidence. It takes awhile for the heat to build, but when the spice hits it is SPICY! The book ends on a cliffhanger so I’m eager to see what happens when the second book begins.

Thank you to the author and RR Book Tours for providing me with a copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
