4.5
My first time reading a Karin Slaughter novel, and I really enjoyed this! I couldn’t put it down once i got into it, and the story was very captivating and well written. The only reason I marked this a 4.5 rather than a 5 is i wasn’t sure where the authors standing on the character of Sibyl’s sexuality. I couldn’t decipher whether the homophobia towards her was just the character of Lena’s thoughts on her, or the author’s actual opinion. So because of that, i knocked a .5 from my rating!
Didn’t realise this was the second book in the series until i started reading, but i will now be picking up the rest of the series as I think the writing and characters are very interesting!
