Do No Harm: Stories of Life, Death, and Brain Surgery by Henry Marsh

emotional medium-paced

1.5

Really didn't enjoy this book. It has no throughline whatsoever- I literally didn't notice it was about to end until it did, because the tone didn't change one bit. Also, the author is a self centred asshole. At one point he describes how when he was working at a mental hospital there was a patient known for having large genitals and the nurses brought him to see this guy naked so they could laugh at him. He also repeatedly called suicidal people "pathetic" and said horrible things about fat people. There were a couple small nuggets of wisdom in this book but it really wasn't worth it to have to put up with this guy for so long.
