A captivating dark fairy tail about a grown princess’ journey to save her sister from an abusive prince.

This story took a bit to get going but once it did, I was fully invested. The characters are introduced slowly one by one, and each has an important part to play. Whether it be for comic relief, like the demon chicken, or helping our protagonist, Marra, reach her goal of killing a prince.

I really loved this tale of found family, and bond that they create on their journey. The author also does a great job of walking the line of creepy and spooky but not scary. I might even call this a cozy horror novel.
