Okay, where do i start. This book started off with the explanation of the relationship between "Aku" and her mother, who don't act like daughter and mother at all. They're not close to each other, and she even said that their relationship is like two strangers living under the same roof together. Also, Aku has never knows her father all her life.

Then suddenly she received the letter and went to another city to meet her Father but she must wait first. The she met J.J. I like J.J. actually, he's like a chill old guy. BUT HIS SON, MUARA, I HATE HIM. he is a freaking 22 years old guy who groomed the main character who is only SEVENTEEN. he said he felt guilty for kissing her because he already has a girlfriend but guess what HE DID IT AGAIN AND HE EVEN SLEPT WITH 'AKU'. BUT THEN HE HAD THE AUDACITY TO SAY ALL THAT WAS A MISTAKE?! WHICH PART IS A MISTAKE WHEN YOU DID THAT MANY TIMES AND SOBER?!

and to be honest, when 'aku' said she was pregnant because a fish told her so, i believed her. that's the magic of Andina Dwifatma's writing in my opinion. Her writing is so.....hypnotizing? like people must have thought that 'aku' is delusional but I BELIEVED HER.

and tbh i was confused about where this book was actually taking me to, because main purpose was actually for the main character to meet her father but then it turned into something INSANE that i couldn't even imagine.

I still have difficulty to form a line about what does the book trying to bring up. But i thiiiink, this book might be about a teenager's life that went into something unimaginable.

i know 'aku' did something insane, but coming from where she is from—bad relationship with her mother, has never known her father since birth, being groomed by a man who she thought was the love of her life but he has never loved her not even a bit, believed that she was pregnant and he didn't want to take responsibility. everything is just hard for her.

reading everything that happened was like a rollercoaster ride but instead of going up and down, the rollercoaster just keept going up and up and up and made you breathless and not even a second for you to take a break.

the ending was kinda okay, finally where i could finally breathe. but still questionable because where has the dad been? has he really been ill? does he still accept his daughter fully even after what she has done? i still have a lot to ask.

this book is not bad, but i just feel like it lacks something to me that makes it less perfect than it should've been.
