this book is mad. the beginning felt very slow but it definitely picked up pace. the whole relationship between Violet and Xaden was also not the best in this book

and how the end is, im hoping it will be much better in the third book

it made me cry which is always a plus. my biggest problem was the pacing, sometimes i read 30 pages without realising and other times i’d read one page and be shocked i was still on the same page. i also didn’t LOVE the plot line of Cat, i didn’t think it added much to the story though i did like the character development . hated the sx scene right after Cat and Violet sparring, it was so unnecessary and wouldve been so much more endearing if Xaden rather had talked her through everything and stayed innocent in that moment.
