I don’t even know how i managed to finish the book. The beginning maybe first 100 pages were interesting. Then it all went to shit. Full of plot holes. Like how at first Jimmy has 2 genes. Jessica has 7. But then apparently their child has 10 because somehow 2+7 is 10??? Then later on they say he has 5??? Maybe if the different world Jimmy/James have different amounts of genes but that was never said. So it’s just a lot of confusion all around. It just all went to shit. It starts off about a graduating high school class going to Las Vegas for graduation which is already crazy. Because how do hundreds of students all coordinate that and the parents of a VERY small town not notice that like half the towns kids are missing for a whole weekend. Whatever though. The point it it starts going into some crap about Nazis and the Roman empire. I don’t even know. It felt like i was having a fever dream the whole time. I was very confused toward the end. Also the fact Jessie just accepts all of the random stuff going on out of nowhere. And how she proves she’s a witch by WRESTLING WITH HER BOYFRIEND IN THE MIDDLE OF A DESERT. It just was ridiculous. I hated it. The whole romance with Russ was a waste of time. The whole book was a waste of time. I give it two stars because the first few chapters at least were good-ish.
