I love my children (the reason I am reading these books) and I can see why they love the PJatO’s series, but this is really made for preteens and teens and is definitely not adult reading material. The book is cute and for my kiddos, I’ll finish the series and maybe even read the next, but cute and entertaining is all it is.
Percy is off making a million bad decisions again. I really don’t understand, he’s only 14 true, but can’t he learn….also why does everyone always assume PJ is going to know or should know what is going on. They are always looking at him like he should know this…but no one tells him anything. It’s like Percy your dumb for not knowing what we haven’t told you, but hey now that you do have all the info then good on you now you can save the world??? What???
Percy doesn’t study the myths, doesn’t get told what he needs to know, and still manages to come out alive and on top, can you imagine how much better these books would be if we didn’t waste all that time calling him dumb? Ok done ranting.
