This was not a great one for me. I love the Off Campus series and especially loved The Graham Effect. As usual there is good banter, great spice, and some tender moments. I loved the dance, cheer, & hockey pieces of course and the little glimpses of the Briar universe.
I didn't like the way Diana treats Shane in the beginning. I like a bitchy FMC. This was just mean and unfounded rumor spreading and it was a turn-off. It took a while to get into this story. I was surprised by the lack of content warnings for a book billed as a typical hockey romance though.
* On page and ongoing domestic abuse by a former partner
* Sudden death of a parent
Usually those elements are noted for readers who find the content too upsetting. It definitely took me out of the story quite a few times.
