I read Santos and Marianna's book first which is why I checked this one out. Tiffany and her husband are characters they both interact with a lot in that book so I was curious.

I think my biggest problem with this book is that the author wants to show a sexually liberated, smart, tough woman (which I am all for) but then puts her in situations that make her look like a stupid (their my friends!), selfish (I am not hurting anyone/no ones business) and weak (when her picture is shared she melts down instead of going to kick some butt) person. She felt like a sham instead of a genuine free spirited person. I think some more interactions with her own mom might have helped flush her out more instead of so much revolving around just the team. And the fact that she is just so intelligent! and a TV producer at 22! - felt unrealistic. Unless she was fucking someone to get that job also - but hey she doesn't fuck for that reason! Just to enjoy sex with friends - married or not. I think she showed some growth but honestly again it didn't feel authentic.

As for Rowen I wasn't a fan. Any guy I know of who waits for sex (mostly religious), also expects his future wife to be much the same. His reasons made sense but at the same time I just wasn't buying it from this character. In addition the fact that he saw her having sex with other guys, heard about it ad nauseum, and knew some of them were married but shrugged it off just meant he came across as kind of a hypocrite. I didn't find him enlighted, sweet or thoughtful. I actually personally found him annoying and seriously not very deep. Did they talk about anything that wasn't sports or team related? I skipped most of his scenes especially with his parents. It read like trying too hard for me - 'look at how different he is' - it's because of his cool parents, who bugged me even more than he did.

The writing is good but the plot and the characters all left me with a feeling of meh. To each his own but I ended up not caring about Tiffany or Rowen which well, means I'll forget about this book in a month.
