Tesla Note, Vol. 1 by Kōta Sannomiya
4.0
I received an eARC of this title through NetGalley in return for an honest review.
I thought this was a fun read. I liked the incorporation of Tesla and his inventions in the story. The characters were interesting and had individual quirks which kept the story light when the story could have stayed serious the whole time. I think having this quirks made the plot and characters more relatable while keeping the horror elements that come along with the investigations.
I liked how this volume introduced the characters and plot. It did not feel too heavy on exposition and utilized the plot to move the story forward while still being able to explain what is happening. I think my only critique would be some of the fight scenes were hard for me to follow. I could not tell what character was doing what, but this is also a minor thing.
I recommend this for anyone who likes a manga with character depth, adventure, and just a smidge of comedic relief.
